I never know to say in these things. I guess that says something about me. I read a lot, write stories, and like books. I like a good debate. Nothing else is to say. :-)
I always wonder who writes these things, they almost never give you a good idea of the story. But this one is a bit better than other I had read.
I picked this up on a whim while fixing the romance section in Barnes and Noble, because the cover grabbed my attention. I admit...I was not expecting a whole lot, just a nice read to pass the time. But it is always nice when you get more than you expect...in a good way. I loved the main character, she was serious and focused and everything a person like her should be. Sometimes you read the character description, and how the character is written does not fit how you think they should be. She fit. And despite that fact that her indecisiveness annoyed at times...I understood it and liked her still. Bryan is great. Everything you hope he would be based on the kind of relationship he is perusing. Brave, handsome, hot, and brooding. What's not to like? This also covered the racial issues realistically as well the workings of the entertainment industry...and all of it's pitfalls. It did this without getting to over dramatic either. All in all...this story had more depth than I expected and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Always a nice surprise. I tend to read more fantasy, and if I read romance it is historical in nature...so this was a change
and a good one.
