Escaping into My Books
I never know to say in these things. I guess that says something about me. I read a lot, write stories, and like books. I like a good debate. Nothing else is to say. :-)
Words are kind of useless
I thought hard about my review of this book...and it is just so.....much....that I can't even begin.
So...simple is best. I am still in awe at the scale of this series and the amount of world building that is displayed. I mean, whole histories and myths, legends, ancient history, Gods, mini-gods, creatures great and small....with illustrations, maps...it is never ending. And all that...and the writer is still able to tell a good story and make it all make sense. It's a feat.
It is amazing that one person can have whole civilizations, people and universes living in their heads and still able to function. It's amazing. It's magic.
This book is an example of why I love fantasy. It takes you away and brings you places you would never go otherwise. And while reading...you kind of don't ever want to leave this worlds and come back to yours. Though this world is a lot safer by a long shot. Great series..great..and it's only book 2. I want to cry thinking about waiting for the rest....
